using 3 instead of 4 segments for "7"?

I see that the digit 7 is displayed using the segments a, b, c and f. But using only a, b and c seems to be much more common. This is also how the seven is displayed on my digital clock.

I recently built a replica BTTF clock using your fonts and it worked well. Have a look if you are interested:

However one minor problem is some of the numbers look different since the numbers like 6, 7 and 9 have one extra segments compared to the original movie image:

I understand your current fonts are more modern and common design but it would be nice if we could have a set of 7 segment fonts in old style as well as the modern ones.

If you want to customize the segment, please consider using FontForge.

1. Open DSEG**.sfd in FontForge
2. Double-click a character and edit.
3. Save *.ttf

Nice idea (but not yet implemented, AFAIK).

Should be nice to have this variant in the not used characters.
Also, the uppercase C should be added to the DSEG7 font.

BTW thanks to the autor for the amazing job. I looking for this kind of font for long time and DSEG is the first that looks really good!
