Documentation Flashes White In Dark Mode

The Documentation for Jupyter Notebook at
https://jupyter-notebook.readthedocs.io/en/stable/
and
https://docs.jupyter.org/en/latest/use/upgrade-notebook.html

Initially loads in white mode, when system is in dark mode, creating a flash. After this the website seems to save which mode its in.

Reproduce

1. Go to 'https://jupyter-notebook.readthedocs.io/en/stable/'
2. Clear cookies '...'
3. Reload Site

Expected behavior

Site Loads in dark mode
