neovim neomake syntax checking is not working

I have neovim with neomake installed, but syntax checking and linting does not work
I do not have neither Syntastic nor deoplete installed. My assumption, based on the readme file of this plugin, is that syntax checking/linting should work.

And that is acutally strange, because as I can see in https://github.com/juliosueiras/vim-terraform-completion/blob/master/autoload/terraformcomplete.vim
makers for terraform filetype should be defined

Installed the plugins using Vundle.
