is there a kind of tap hold eager type of functionality ?

i have an odd use case where i need a key to send as soon as i tap and something different when i hold it. but the tap thing has to be sent right away and always

any ideas ? i thought tap dance could do holds but apparently not

ETA: i was unclear about the behavior i want. so an example, I need to send one key and keep sending it until i let it go, let's say 1, as soon as i tap it. but after 175 milliseconds, i need it to send 2 (or 1 and 2, doesn't matter) and keep sending it until i let it go.

if i let this key go before 175 milliseconds, i don't want it to send 2, just 1.

macro-release-cancel is what i'm looking for i believe !

so i need to hold keys while i'm holding the macro down, but the following doesn't work

it seems that cancel doesn't cancel virtual keys. i'll make a feature request

Does it work to put it inside multi and add on-release release-vkey ... for both keys within the multi?
