It can be tricky to target a saddle, even with the patches to increase the max targeting distance, discount the Y axis, and prefer targeting saddles over the monster itself.

I think I've taken the current approach as far as possible. One idea off the top of my head is that I could make it so that targeting the monster itself would target the saddle instead. You'd have to unsaddle a thing to pet it or name it. But would that be a good trade-off?
