How to use transitionIssue method to update the status of an issue #360

I have doubt in what the transition Object is. I used the listTransitions method I got a result back with transitions listed as

transitions: [ {I'd: '4', name: 'Start Progress', to: [Object], fields: {}]

When I give like that I get errors. What is the correct usage of this TransitionObject ?
