Unable to connect to the database

The bug

I have previously used Immich with docker and saved some data.
I followed your tips on docs and changed 'UPLOAD_LOCATION', 'DB_PASSWORD', 'DB_DATA_LOCATION'.
I got an error [TypeOrmModule] Unable to connect to the database. Retrying (1), error: could not open file "base/16384/2659": No such file or directory
I'm sure DB_PASSWORD is correct because if I cahnged it, I will get an error about authentation.
btw, DB_PASSWORD contains special characters ., which I set before.

Some files are missing from the postgres folder. You'll either have to find them (unlikely) or restore a backup.

A little strange. I have not modified the contents of the postgres folder.
Can you shed some light on how to restore a backup.

Or can I rebuild the postgres database by scanning file upload folder.
I have uploaded too many photos and I don't want to start from scratch, ie. reupload my photos.

The backup/restore procedure is outlined in https://immich.app/docs/administration/backup-and-restore. If you don't have a backup, you'll have to start from scratch again.

I have started from scratch. I found there is a repair function.
Why is the 'Repair All' button unavailable?

got the same issue on my windows 10 server

what I did was

1. update to the latest docker-compose.yml by comparing current and latest line by line
2. delete all the containers and images related to immich
   
3. then pull and run latest things as follows:
   change directory to your immich docker folder
docker compose stop (stops all running immich containers)
   docker compose pull (pulls newer version when "release"-Version has been updated)
   docker compose up -d (starts all immich containers)
