Can't type phone number extension although extensions are supported

If you type in the number one letter at a time, extensions aren't supported. However if you paste in a number with an extension it is supported and displayed correctly.

I think it would be nice to allow the users to type in extensions

I don't think I understand. You're talking about country iso codes (fr; ne; us; bj)
or dial code (+227; +1; +36 ) ?

I think we should either:

1. Do not support extensions and trim any extensions when content is pasted
2. Add explicit support for extensions and provide a way to enable/disable that support
