I am quite new to Tux guitar,
I used mainly to write and edit and practice on piano scores, therfore I don't use the tablature to edit.
COuld be possible to use the buttons/notepad system to edit in standard notation as in the tablature notation please?
At the moment I have to use the mouse and it takes ages to do it. with arrows and buttons would be much more easier.

I really appreciate your help. thank you

@Ardegago : welcome to TuxGuitar
Could you please precise which kind of actions you would like to trigger, and how?
e.g. how to enter a new note, etc

Thank you,
Yes How to enter a note on the pentagram.
Before I used guitar pro and windows, now I moved to tux and Linux mint.
So if I could write the note on the stave (standard lines of music notes) with arrows and enter would be fantastic, like in GP, or any other shortcut would be great too.
I hope I made myself more clear. Thank you

I never used GP, so I don't know exactly what you mean.
Anyway, I think I globally understand your point, but don't expect such an evolution to be implemented in TuxGuitar in a short term. TuxGuitar is fundamentally a tablature editor, so edition capabilities are clearly focused on the tablature. From software point of view, as far as I can understand the code, the cursor is tightly linked to the tablature.
Maybe you could have a look at other applications like MuseScore, not specifically guitar-oriented?

Thank you for your reply,
I used before musescore as well but is a bit too much for me.
I prefer tuxguitar interface, it is much more approachable.
Ok I will use it now as it is hoping for the future ;).
Thank you for your help
