Sorting in thumbnail/gallery mode

It would be nice to have the possibility to change sorting from thumbnail/gallery view.

Currently sorting of details/list view is used and it's possible to switch to list view, change sorting and switch back to gallery.
It's better then no way to change order but not really ideal.

I assume it's a common use case to sort photos by modification date or name (OT: indexing and sorting by capture date/EXIF would be a really nice feature)
