Character Sprites not loading in

Hi!
I'm having issues with character sprites not loading when I run my program.
I'm able to move around the camera in-game but there's no sprite associated with the camera.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks. :^)

Hi! And welcome!
Are you using the utiLITI which is the 2D graphic editor for LITIengine or are you intending to do everything by code? Both ways are possible but knowing which one you're using can help us help you.
Do you get an error message?
What is the code you wrote that is supposed to load resources and the sprite of the character?
Did you call [b]~~*~~super(<name_of_sprite>)*[/b] in the constructor? Have you forgotten to call [b]~~*~~super()*[/b] somewhere else?
Seeing your code, or part of it, will make it easier to solve the problem.
In the meantime, please have a look through this demo made with LITIengine which serves as basic introduction on how to use LITIengine: https://github.com/gurkenlabs/litiengine-gurk-nukem [b](make sure to look at the names of the sprite files)[/b].
Here, you can find some documentation that might help: https://docs.litiengine.com/ . Just keep in mind that the docs aren't fully completed yet.

Turns out I just forgot to add the extension for the file inside the super() constructor.
But I do have another question, how would I add multiple images (or a gif) to make it seem like my player actually has an animation?

You need to create one image file containing a sequence of sprites which will make an animation when reading those sprites from left to right. See here: https://github.com/gurkenlabs/litiengine-gurk-nukem/blob/master/sprites/Jorge-walk-left.png .
There is also some kind of "code name" you need to add in the name of the file. Go to this topic and find the answer for the second point: https://forum.litiengine.com/d/37-gurknukem-how-does-spawning-works
It's something like: [b]--[/b]
If using utiLITI, it is possible to use a ~~*~~spritefile*, although it is not necessary to use one. See steffen's answer for more information: https://forum.litiengine.com/d/12-need-help-creating-player-entity/16
