Hello everyone! My name (Well, screen name) is Ender_L, although you'll see variations of that across different platforms. I'm currently a Senior in high school, which means I'm in my last year. Going to college, I'm looking to study computer science. Although I ultimately want to end up as a physics simulations engineer, I'm looking forward to being able to create games for fun on the side.
At the time of writing, I've made one (1) total contribution to LitiEngine, and it was a simple update of a readme. However, I'm looking forward to being able to contribute more in the future!

Hi,
I'm Jikai, Computer engineer, and passionate by video games. I was looking for a java api to simplify all the display stuff for gaming since a long time now. I'm really hyped by your library. I didn't test it yet but will do soon.
In fact, I'm writing a network api for client/server gaming like mmo games so I don't really have time to write a whole api for Sprite/maps/engine management and so on, so glad to have found yours :)
I'll use it on top of my server api as a client in order to build an mmorpg as tiled like game! The dev of liti seems to be really active so I can't wait for more tutos about the api :)

Hello all!
My name is Cinder, and I go by many different names on the various corners of the web. I am a long-time Java hobbyist and have recently discovered LITI. I am currently having a blast creating small demos with the engine. My next goal is to try and get a game similar to Realm of the Mad God up a running! My son is looking for a java 2d game engine for a school project he wants to do - basically write a 2d game. I'm a professional java developer myself, so I'm trying to make myself useful ;-)
Sounds really good what you guys are doing. I see that the project is still alpha status, but what I'm concerned about right now is whether the project is still being developed, since I didn't see any new content in the blog or in this forum since April or May 2019. Is this still under active development?

ks32849 Thanks for your interest in our engine. The engine is still under development. We've been working on the new website lately and I have been busy with my day-time job for the last two months.
Regarding the Alpha status: We think that some parts of the engine (like the GUI components) need some more polishing before leaving the alpha state. Also, we're trying to get the documentation to a somewhat complete state until that point.
We're using the engine for all our private game projects (jam games and also commercial games), so I think it's safe to say that the engine won't be abandoned any time soon :)

The new website will be done by the end of this year probably! We will have another in-person meeting in three weeks, which will allow us to address some urgent issues and take care about some more documentation.
Time has become quite a tough factor unfortunately, considering I have picked up studying at university again while working a part time job.

Howdy! I'm A~Z [but you'll see some mutations of that username, because of, well, silly username predicates], an amateur dev that picked Java on OpenClassroom two years ago in order to make Minecraft plugins myself :x
I learnt mostly on the field though [my last achievement being a basic genetic algorithm that optimizes itself], and am as of now ─ very ─ slowly making a little game with the LITIEngine and my brother [he likes drawing, so we complete quite well].
I actually coded one contribution for the gurknukem tutorial project.
Last year of french equivalent for high-school, I aim to become a full-fledged developper either in AI or game programming in the future :)

Well, I have been posting a bit here. I might as well let you folks know a bit about me.
My name is Lars. I'm from Norway, and I'm an aspie (Asperger's syndrome). I am currently in a job training of sorts, and I am encouraged to self-learn Java.
So, I'm making a game I been dreaming of for a long while.
In Java.. Yeah.. No offence, I prefer Unity3D and C#. But hey, it's a challenge.
I tried a few different libraries and engines, but Java as a game platform is dieing. So finding something worth using and still up to date, is not so easy.
Then I landed here.
I am still learning how to use your quirky system, and so far I have not had any use for the tile-based systems you have made, but I'm sure I will find a use at some point.
So. It is clear to me that this project is still early in development, and you have accepted some of my feedback so far. I hope that, despite my limited expertise in Java, I can be of more help in the future.

Hi there! My name is Yannik. I'm from Baden-Württemberg, Germany 🇩🇪.
I'm currently studying computer science and I'm creating my own Arkanoid version with the LITIengine to use it as my student research project.
I teached myself to program Java after getting the basics from my studies.
I'm looking forward to create another game with the LITIengine somewhere in the future and watch the engine being further developed!
Also I'm looking forward to interact with the Liti community, maybe help answering some questions of other LITIengine users or to share some useful code snippets of my next game 😄 (just need to find the time to develop it 😆 )

Hi all, I usually go by Scruffy in games and such. I've been wanting to make computer games ever since duke nukem 3d and unreal. I kinda suck at but I have way too many ideas to ever stop. One day I'll finish one of the thousands of prototypes I make. I've used a couple of game engines, game maker studio is one I use a lot but sadly I'm getting to a point where I hate using it. I wanted to make something in a language I know, a quick Google search and I found litiengine. I absolutely love the fact that is pure java, third party stuff drives me mental. Can't wait for the beta.
