Summary

In the case of multiple ECDH keys with anonymous recipient, gpg will try all keys until one matches. It will then exit with status 2 and print errors to stderr, even if decryption ultimately succeeds.

Steps To Reproduce

See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnupg2/+bug/2024496 for a description.

Expected behavior

Earlier (Ubuntu 22.04) version decrypted without error messages.

Environment

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
gpg 2.4.4

Additional context

The same behaviour has been observed on Arch / Manjaro which also has recent versions of all packages.
