[Enhancement] Syntax Highlighting: Markdown #1549

The syntax highlighting for Markdown might be enhanced with the following features:

  • support for bold formatting
  • support for italic formatting
  • support for code formatting by indentation (4 spaces)
  • support for LaTeX maths environments
  • support for LaTeX macros
