Many thanks for this. Is it possible to add support for wim/esd files?
I'd really love every extension that exists but that would be alot of work so just these two for now. Maybe iso too. Appreciate all of your hard work.

This is an extension to generate thumbnails using book/comic covers. In what universe are you using wim/esd for ebooks or comics.

It generates thumbnails for the rar and zip extensions so it's not too big of a stretch.

Yes, because it's common to leave zip/rar/7z extension instead of changing it to cbz/cbr/cb7 for comics.

There is no reasonable use case scenario for wim/esd archives as it's almost exclusively used for windows images.

What would be the desired behavior for a wim/esd file? Is there some metadata to define the contents of these files, especially some sort of "cover" image? Show the first-found image in the file?

Show a list of the first 5 files in the archive, the way zip files do.

... and I'm still confused. If you'd post a screen cap of Zip file behavior, it'd help. I think, however, you've mixed up DarkThumbs with some other tool. DarkThumbs shows the first file of the archive as the file thumbnail, if no "cover" image is defined.
