database validation & bug fixing

I think this idea could be of value:
Let's assume a database is created from a bitstream generated by the vendor toolchain using fuzzers
Then, a similar alternative database is created with same fuzzers and seeds, but this time using the bitstream generated by an open source toolchain like symbiflow
If the databases differ, isn't it a sign of bugs in the open source toolchain? And a good opportunity to fix them?
Would that alternative database generation be useful? I may participate on such endeavor
