Install Etherpad not using Docker

I want to install and setup Etherpad on my laptops (macOS 15.1 and Windows 11) not using Docker as I have not and don't want to install Docker on my laptops. Is there a way to try out Etherpad without the use of Docker.
Is there some documentation on how to set this up using regular NodeJS 20 + PostgreSQL 16 which are pre-installed ?

EDIT : I managed to get this running on my Windows 11 machine but why doesn't npm run dev work ?
