Your use case

What would you like to do?

I found an indirect way to log in to multiple accounts for the Element desktop version at the same time under Windows, that is, the --user-data-dir parameter. This works, but then I found a problem: it is difficult to tell which instance I am about to operate on the tray icon.

For this scenario, some information can be added in specific locations. For example, when the mouse pointer is placed on the tray icon, the label gives the username of the currently logged in instance.

Why would you like to do it?

n/a

How would you like to achieve it?

None, I can only guess the instance I am about to operate based on the number of unread items on the icon.

Have you considered any alternatives?

Additional context

Operating system: 64-bit Windows 11 (10.0.22631)
Element version: 1.11.71 (64-bit, for Windows)
