WANTED: People who are *Obsessed* with Personal Effectiveness π #266
Comments
If you're reading this issue and feel like it describes you. π |
ack. I must state that I am not Obsessed with Personal Effectiveness.. but I will list tools I use and short explanations on what I do. |
Note: although this is a short post, the conversation I had with the internal parts of myself lasted over two hours. Maybe I need to record my conversations with self then compose thoughts to e-paper. You see, not too effective at writing yet...but again, never tried to be. :) [know thy self - one key to effectiveness] I will start this off with "dwyl", the slogan for this group... doing what you love [or in my words -- following your heart]. For me, this is the key to personal effectiveness. When you are doing what you love, somewhere along the way, effectiveness and efficiency will always follow...FACTS. if you are into gaming in any form and have a particular game you love playing .. the amount of hours you put into the game for instance... more likely than not you will find that you have become very good at the game. If playing with others, then there is a way to measure your "effectiveness at playing said game" versus other gamers. [long delay here, hehehe] Off topic/On topic: you are gonna win some and lose some but most likely lose more than win in life. learn how to lose ... lose small (keep your losses small as we say in the financial markets). Never repeat mistakes -- unless you are hard headed like I am where you may need another attempt to prove your stupidity! Follow these two alone and effectiveness will no doubt improve. |
βOne person with passion is better than forty people merely interested.β ~ E.M. Forster
Echoed later:
"One person with passion is greater than ninety-nine who have only an interest." ~ John C. Maxwell
We need to find the people who are passionate about solving the Personal Effectiveness problem.
People with a mild interest in the topic are good.
But if those people with an interest prefer to spend their "free" time
on leisure activities that aren't related to their life goals ... e.g. Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
They aren't going to be the people who are obsessed with solving their life problems.
We need to discover the
1%
ofpeople
that have a pain point so severethat they would be willing to pay $1000/month for a βconciergeβ service
to solve their life organisation and "getting stuff done" challenges.
These are the people who hire personal assistants (in-person or virtual),
home organising/tidying consultants or housekeepers to help them stay on top of the tasks in their lives.
They are the "early adopters" for whom a new tool/technology is so appealing,
because it will solve their specific problem/need, that they are willing to put up with a few rough edges ...
The people who are willing to use the first version of a product and pay a premium for it
even though it lacks obvious features that other products may already have.
Having an curious interest is fine, those people will use something that already exists.
We want to find
people
for whom finding the solution to their "personal organisation challenge" is an obsession. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
