The current API already support returning XML data.
It would be great to make an RSS Feed for updated plugins based on the lastupdate field.

Actually what's the best ? RSS 1.0/2.0 or Atom ?

just reuse our feedcreator class and let the user decide.

I was more thinking reusing the code in repository.php but I will try to build around feedcreator.
