The phrase reads "... and we will be exploring how (the evolution of a Cit+ mutant and hypermutability) with our variant calling workflow. ...". It is basically meant to continue the sentence

Concern:

1. There seem to be an omission in the sentence just before the parenthesis
2. The word "emergence" could better capture the intended meaning in place of the word "evolution".

I propose it to read:

"...and we will be exploring how the changes occurred (the emergence of a Cit+ mutant and hypermutability) using our variant calling workflow. ..."
