In the "Explore and Plot by Vector Layer Attributes" episode (https://datacarpentry.org/r-raster-vector-geospatial/07-vector-shapefile-attributes-in-r/index.html), the codes for "explore values within one attribute" section are incomplete.

OUTPUT
NULL

To get the results, the codes should be written as:

levels(as.factor(lines_HARV@TYPE))
OUTPUT
[1] "boardwalk" "footpath" "stone wall" "woods road"
