Been thinking it could be useful to have a version that saves some additional metadata such as:

  • version info (e.g., from versioninfo())
  • time when run (e.g., from Date.now(UTC))
  • runtime of code
  • package version?

Potential name/signature cachemeta(f,path). Alternatively, could maybe make it an argument to the function cache.
