NIST is working on the standardization of the PQC mechanisms:

These Standards are still in the draft version, and only minor changes are expected.
What do you think about to assign int numbers to the public key algorithms and signature algorithms?

Below are the public key algorithms and signature algorithms:

  • FIPS 203:
    • Public Key Algorithms:
      • ML-KEM-512
      • ML-KEM-768
      • ML-KEM-1024
    • Signature Algorithms: N/A
  • FIPS 204
  • FIPS 204
    • Public Key Algorithms/Signature Algorithms:
      • SLH-DSA-SHA2-128s
      • SLH-DSA-SHAKE-128s
      • SLH-DSA-SHA2-128f
      • SLH-DSA-SHAKE-128f
      • SLH-DSA-SHA2-192s
      • SLH-DSA-SHAKE-192s
      • SLH-DSA-SHA2-192f
      • SLH-DSA-SHAKE-192f
      • SLH-DSA-SHA2-256s
      • SLH-DSA-SHAKE-256s
      • SLH-DSA-SHA2-256f
      • SLH-DSA-SHAKE-256f

Current conclusion: relevant, but we wait for the completion of the drafts to add the numbers for the specified algorithms
