Getting error while trying to create a pod with a pre-created network

Plaform: macOS 11.5.2 / Intel
Go: go1.17

I am using the library to programmatically create a pod assigning it to a network. My code goes like this:

podSpec := specgen.NewPodSpecGenerator()
podSpec.Name = "mypod"
podSpec.Hostname = "mypod"
podSpec.CNINetworks = []string{"mynetwork"}

ip := net.ParseIP("172.18.0.40")
if ip != nil {
podSpec.StaticIP = &ip
}

I am getting the following error:

invalid config provided: networks must be defined when the pod is created: network cannot be configured when it is shared with a pod

Please help!

Nevermind, the error was not in to pod creation, it was occurring when I was trying to create containers under this pod with their own network config.
