The Unified Model is an atmospheric model developed by the UK Met Office.

Skillset 1 (novice):

  • Understand the GUI
  • Create and run a job

Skillset 2: modify job using existing options (advanced)

  • Choose source code
  • Choose science options
  • Choose Inputs and Outputs

Skillset 3: Create inputs/outputs (expert)

  • Debugging
  • Creating new inputs
  • Creating new outputs

Depending on the version, there are two different ways to configure the model:
