textwrap.dedent for multi-line strings

I'd like to parse-save multiline configuration, but keep it in a pretty-ascii text too.

For multiline strings, the equivalent of config : | in yaml would be a nice addition to the repository.

I didn't see such an example in README and there's no dedent call in the repo; however, I'd appreciate if someone could point me at that direction
