What happened?

In a dual boot setup where you have already Windows 11 and BitLocker activated and despite already having an unallocated partition for the installer to use, I am still getting the "BitLocker is enabled" screen.
The unallocated partition is confirmed to be visible by going back one step and choosing "Manual partitioning".

What was expected?

The installer should have detected the unallocated partition and prompted the user to confirm that it can use it.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Laptop with Windows 11 installed and BitLocker activated
  2. A partition was created, in the single nvme drive, to prepare for a dual boot installation
  3. A bootable usb stick with mantic minotaur was created (using balena etcher)
  4. The PC was restarted
  5. Enter BIOS setup and toggle "Allow Microsoft 3rd party UEFI CA" on under secure boot (as instructed here )
  6. Use the USB stick as the first device in boot order
  7. Proceed with installation and choose "Install Ubuntu 23.10.1 alongside Windows Boot Manager"

There also seems to be no way to set up an encrypted drive with manually creating/selecting a partition :-(
