mixing client-side-template with handlebar

hi,
This might not be htmx issue, but handlebar. I render html using handlebar template in the server, I'd like to use client-side-template to dynamically swap out some contents:

    {{docref}}
</p>

<div hx-ext="client-side-templates">
    <button hx-post="/bom/clicked" hx-trigger="click" hx-target="#parent-div" hx-swap="outerHTML"
        handlebar-template="foo">
        Click Me!
    </button>
    <div id="parent-div">
        hahah
    </div>
    <template id="foo">
        <p> {{id}} {{name}} </p>
    </template>
</div>

the rendered page will not contain the correct template:

    <template id="foo">
            <p>     </p>
    </template>

is there a way to tell handlebar not to render anything within the template block in the server? thanks
