Carpenter Theory

My friend once wanted to buy an office table. We compared some models on the internet, but we couldn’t get a feel for them. So we decided to try out some local shops. Unfortunately, the day we went out was a public holiday, and most of the shops were closed. Before calling it a day, we ended up making some phone calls and found a local carpenter who was highly regarded in the area.

Beautifully written. Got me pondering over the list of side projects gathering dust 😅

Besides what you’ve nicely covered I think another factor is the joy of creating software. When I started learning JavaScript I would create whatever ideas came to mind just for fun. Now, after years, just writing software for fun seems like an afterthought, maybe for others too. I’ll probably do an exposition on my blog. This post has inspired some good ideas to explore 🤗
