When exporting to screenshots, emojis are missing in titles

Emojis seem to be missing in exported titles.

While in the generated HTML file they show...

...and also in the exported PDF they show...

...they are missing in screenshots:

Any idea how to fix this?

@jmuheim could you provide a minimal HTML document with the slide content extracted? I'd like to test whether it's really a Decktape issue or a Chromium one.

I think I've got the same issue, but on my slides the background is dark: the emojis in the title appear as white.

Here's a sample page in Chromium:

Here's the same page produced as a PDF with Linux Document Viewer:

But if I view the same PDF in Edge, Chromiuim, or Firefox, it renders correctly:

I'm mainly leaving this comment here, as a reminder that the software you're using the view the PDF's matters
