Update: The Catalog Items API v2022-04-01 provides a new classifications parameter for sellers and vendors

The Catalog Items API v2022-04-01 includes a new includedData query parameter option called classifications, which replaces the deprecated MWS GetProductCategoriesForSKU and GetProductCategoriesForASIN operations. You can use classifications to browse the classification trees assigned to an ASIN.

This new parameter is available to sellers and vendors. The former MWS GetProductCategories was only available to sellers.
