Update: This announcement has been updated to reflect the new effective date of July 31, 2022.
What is changing?
Effective July 31, 2022, Developers whose SP-API public applications use Direct Fulfillment for Vendor Programs must use a new access protocol via the Tokens API and Restricted Data Token (RDT) to make a successful API calls to specified operations.
These operations will require the use of RDT:
Selling Partner API for Direct Fulfillment Orders
Selling Partner API for Direct Fulfillment Shipping
Why is this changing?
Amazon takes protecting Customer data seriously. This change is being made to ensure developers are using the latest technology and features for the benefit of Vendors, Sellers, and Customers.
Who is affected?
Developers whose applications are authorized by vendors using the Direct Fulfillment APIs.
Which countries are affected?
This affects all countries.
What action is required?
If you have an application that is affected by this change, you must update your application to use the new access protocol by July 31, 2022, to avoid service disruption.
