Hi All,
On May 27, 2021, the melting_temperature attribute changes from optional to required for new or updated ASINs. This change is intended to create a better experience for customers by improving the optimal delivery configuration for products.
Selling partners listing products with a known melting temperature (such as chocolate, lip balm, wax-based products, etc.) must provide a Yes value to the is_heat_sensitive attribute and provide information about the product's melting temperature.
Note: If the selling parter offers temperature-sensitive ASINs that Amazon also offers, the product attribues may have been updated already.
Which marketplaces are affected?
This applies to US, Spain, UK, France, Germany, Italy, India, and Japan marketplaces.
Who is affected?
Developers with applications that upload or update ASINs are affected by this change.
What action is required?
If you have an application that is affected by this change, be sure to adjust your application workflow to require the melting_temperature attribute on or before May 27, 2021.
For more information, see the Meltable FBA inventory article in Seller Central Help.
Best regards,
The Selling Partner API team
