Dear Nick,

It’s great. I’m going to implement ByteNet to have: (1) a better understanding of TensorFlow, (2) reproduce the experiments in Language Modeling and Neural Machine Translation and (3) apply it to new datasets.
As you know, the ByteNet and the WaveNet models have slight differences but its applications are completely different. So it is important to have a standalone project focusing on the ByteNet applications.
I have a little experience in TensorFlow (very interested to know more) but expert in LM and NMT, so I can help you more in reproducing LM and NMT experiments. Also, I’m interested to know more about TensorFlow.

Hey @amirj

Sounds Great. I am actually very well versed in tensorflow. Do you want to perhaps work on the decoder (target network?). I'm finishing up the source network right now on the repo.

If you want to do your own separate repo, that's totally cool. I just thought it would be better for us to work together since we have similar goals. My repo is dedicated to bytenet.
