Sending custom commands working, but not actually working

So, this is a really odd one - I'm not sure what's going on

I'm sending a custom command to Alexa (e.g. set the govee hexa to rainbow) but the run custom commands

The device flashes, but it doesnt actually do anything. If I look in my voice history, I see an entry with the "Tap / Routine / Type with Alexa: set the govee hexa to rainbow", so the command is coming through, but it doesnt actually DO anything

If i do the same with my voice, it does exactly what it's supposed to do...

Can anyone advise what might be going on?
Bearing in mind the command is coming through to Alexa, I don't believe it's this integration at fault directly, but something in the way the integration communicates perhaps?

So, little bit more testing, it seems it's unable to successfully run a routine. It will work if I use it with a command that isn't a routine, but not with a routine... is there a way to run a routine?

However, suggestion for the wiki - put a link from custom commands to here since it's not immediately obvious if you don't read the whole thing why you can't run a routine from a custom command
