Setting volume for TTS

Thank you for this great Alexa Integration. I'm using it to alert me when a person is detected in my front yard using the also excellent Frigate NVR. One question though, is there a way to set the volume of the TTS notification? I've tried sending volume_level in the data object, but no luck.

That would be interesting to learn. Personally I only know the two-part way:

    - service: media_player.volume_set
      target:
        entity_id: group.echos
      data:
        volume_level: 1

    - service: notify.alexa_media
      data:
        message: Alarm
        target: group.echos
        data:
          type: tts
          method: speak

Thanks for the info. I'll see if anyone else responds. The problem with your solution is that it (I assume) sets the volume permanently on the echo. I'd prefer to set the volume just for that one announcement, so it doesn't end up screwing up the state of say...music that is currently playing. I'm new to NodeRed, but maybe there's a way to get the current volume, and pass that along with the payload so that after the announcement you can reset the audio back to what it was previously.

no, but I'm going to investigate the other TTS solutions. It looks like they offer this ability.

Most probably too late... But you can also use ssml tag into the message, especially the prosody to change the volume of the message without touching the echo initial volume:
