Skipping pauses videos in PiP mode

Zen has this option where when a tab goes out of focus a PiP window pops up if a video was playing in that tab,
All skipping in this PiP window will pause the video.
If there is no PiP window it works fine.
If I open PiP window myself using a keyboard shortcut it works fine.

Any advice?
