I'd actually like to make it the default instead of virtualenv and also raise warnings for both mamba and conda which rely on external tools being present.

Needs:

  • Documentation
  • Release notes
  • Check [wheel build]
  • Consensus on using rattler as the default
    • Bump to 3.8 minimum
