Keep in mind the reflection documents are fairly informal reports, with
highly subjective content even being encouraged in the prosamm course, and
that almost all course participants are youth.

Are we sure we want to add informal synonyms?
As Oxford dictionaries says "As a rule, it's best to avoid informal
vocabulary in most standard written contexts: it wouldn't be a good idea to
use it in job applications, for example, or in a report"

After looking at google I found out that thesaurus already uses Informal synonyms (you can find the word nigga or jigaboo as a synonym of Black person for example)

And uh, kudos on picking one of the worst instances of the functionality that we're implementing.

The one on our project (WordNet), I check the words in our project

While WordNet might contain some informal slang it's absolutely not going to be the same words as what computer interested twenty year olds use today. The example you mentioned for example is a hundred years old. I'm looking for words like "FTW" and noob.
