It seems the passphrase used to encrypt Pond’s state file cannot be changed. Is it possible to use the editstate utility to do that? It would be nice to be able to change the passphrase from the CLI and GUI user interfaces though.

This is not the solution you are looking for, but if you really need to change you passphrase it is possible to entomb you statefile (under "Identity" in the GUI). You can then set a new passphrase before importing the entombed state.

If you need to use the CLI you could take a look at pull request #183, which adds the entombing/importing functionality to the CLI interface.

Be careful with entomb. It nuked my state file on my Mac last year, not sure if we fixed that, like by disabling entoumb on sytems without TPM.
