When switching from any tab to the extent tab, the initial tab does not go away...

Issue

mdEditor Web Address (enter the URL):

Issue Description:

Extent tab appears without the prior tab going away. This seems to happen only the first time you open the extent tab (???) After. that it seems ok...

Steps to reproduce (Bug reports only):

1. Open editor, edit record, click some tab, click extent tab

Observed Results (Bug reports only):

When I click the extent tab, the prior tab stays on the screen with the extent tab underneath.

Expected Results (Bug reports only):

I expect prior tab to go away as it does when other tabs are opened.
