Healthcare Connect is a platform designed to improve access to free or affordable healthcare resources for immigrants, refugees, and underserved communities. It connects users with low-cost or free insurance plans and healthcare services tailored to their specific needs, empowering individuals to make informed healthcare decisions.
The platform offers secure authentication with role-based access, where users, providers, and administrators have tailored functionalities. Users can save services, receive personalized recommendations, and search for healthcare options based on location, eligibility, cost, and language. Providers, on the other hand, can create insurance plans and healthcare services with subscription models, enabling direct engagement with clients. Admins have full access to manage services and oversee platform activity.
Healthcare Connect integrates with Stripe for secure subscription payments and includes a chatbot for on-demand tech support. Built with Next.js and TypeScript on the frontend, and NestJS with MongoDB on the backend, the platform combines robust security practices, including JWT authentication and password hashing.
From the latest, Healthcare Connect team implemented Redis for caching, optimizing data access speeds for a seamless user experience. By utilizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation through LangChain, we personalize chatbot support for each user, providing more tailored assistance.
