It would be useful if a single footnote could be re-used multiple times throughout a post.

E.g.
The quick [1] brown fox [2] jumped over the lazy [1] dog.

Source 1
Source 2

Currently all footnotes require unique in-text reference numbers. i.e.

The quick [1] brown fox [2] jumped over the lazy [3] dog.

Source 1
Source 2
Source 1
