After 3 years in development, hopefully, it would have been worth the wait.
The bug is fixed! https://issues.chromium.org/issues/40190553

We'll probably want to keep the workaround for some time for older Chromium version users, until it becomes a pain to maintain.

Also, we need to reply to reviews talking about this when the 128 version is released.
