[Bug]: Resolution locked at 640x480

Describe the bug

The screen switches to 640x480 when the virtual screen is displayed and the real screen is turned off, the resolution cannot be changed.

I can confirm this issue, it seems as when you disable the virtual monitor and enable it again, it reverts to 640x480.

I suspect this started happening after the latest windows update, for reference, this is the version:

You can easily replicate this by just enabling/disabling the virtual monitor, I'm using the tool "MultiMonitorTool" for this.

Furthermore, it seems like you aren't able to change the resolution on the virtual monitor, if it's the only one active. This is a problem for me with Sunshine setups, as I dynamically change the virtual monitors resolution to the moonlight's client resolution.

@NFMynster I found a temporary fix if you are still interested: Before installing, delete all resolutions and keep only the one you need, then your virtual desktop will always keep that resolution.

I also ran into this issue and can confirm the above workaround worked for me. Running latest version of Windows 11

You don't need to remove them all. Just move the one you want to the top, the first resolution is the default

You can change resolution, but you need to use the old/classic Display adapter properties to open the List All Modes window. Select the one you want, click ok, then apply.

There is a shortcut in the Advance display section, right after the Display information.
