I just had a case in #2221 where one of the CI test runs failed but then after a trivial commit that shouldn't affect the failing tests in anyway it passed.

The failure is some approx comparison not being within tolerance in test/experimental. First suspicion would be an unfixed seed somewhere, but I haven't investigated yet.
