The upstream says that the Sega Pico is supported, see this thread.
BizHawk basically forces the PicoDrive core to be used instead for no explained reason. This also probably makes it impossible to TAS Sega Pico games. PicoDrive is intended for 32x games, not Sega Mega Drive ones (although we can force BizHawk to load them with this core via File Extensions window, since Sega Mega Drive emulation functionality is still present).
