Try to execute the .exe file from the latest release here on github
Unix.Release_2.2.2.zip with only wine. I tried it and it worked flawlessly no crash at all.

Hi, I found a different solution:

1. I deleted in Lutris the game.
2. I went to the SITE and installed the NEW script with a personalized wine (lutris-nfsworld-5.4-x86_64)
3. an error occurred during the installation but I have all the files
4. I went to the game settings in Lutris and added in DDL overrides: (key) dinput8 (Value) n,b
5. saved, started the launcher, and started the game

It works
