I would like if there could be a set of hotkeys to cycle between animations loaded similar to umodel (at least for animation slot 0).
These hotkeys would ideally be able to be used while in the Meshes tab to view vis meshes without needing to go back to the Animations tab to swap to the next one in the list.
My suggestions for the keys used would be [ and ] for previous and next animation respectively.

This sounds like a useful feature, but it's unclear how this would work with multiple models and multiple animation slots. What are you trying to find out by switching between animations?
I was thinking it could be the hotkey only for slot 0, and the other slots would remain static. You do bring up a good point with multiple models though I had not considered that. Maybe cycle every slot zero? That might be too clunky though.
As for why I would like this feature, I was studying Zelda's vis meshes because I wanted to see how they transitioned between each other for a mod I'm working on e.g. openblink -> patternc_blink -> talk_blink. I was cycling between all of Zelda's animations to see how much leeway I had for how much my expressions varied from the vanilla ones.
btw sorry about closing and reopening the issue, haven't used GitHub in a while
